When people speak of having a honeymoon in the Caribbean, they usually mean the beaches. There are hundreds of beautiful beaches and the surrounding waters range from hues of emerald, turquoise to crystal blue. Each of the destinations have a variety of honeymoon ideas for a romantic adventure that choosing one is mostly determined by what kind of activities a couple wants to have.

Go for Secluded Beaches

For utmost intimacy during a Caribbean honeymoon, couples should definitely try going to the more secluded beaches. Some of them can only be accessible by boat which proves much about how unspoiled they are. Although the modern conveniences lie in beaches that are lined with resorts, it tends to be crowded especially during the peak season. The secluded beaches give more time for couples who wish to be left alone in the pristine waters and nature.

Couples can pack picnic baskets complete with champagne and strawberries or anything they wish to make their little adventure more worthwhile. In the Bahamas, Cable Beach and Paradise Island are the more social destination and if the couple wishes to have more privacy, they should resort to remote outer islands.

Go For Adventure

For those who are more interested in an adventurous Caribbean honeymoon, there are many activities that can be enjoyed by couples. They can try going sailing or yachting especially that most of the islands in the Caribbean provide apt conditions for such activities. Snorkeling and scuba diving is also a favorite activity for couples who would love to fully appreciate marine life. In Antigua, sites like Cades Reef, Sunken Rock and Pineapple Beach are areas that have calm waters, beautiful sandy beaches and abundant coral reefs.

In Cayman Islands, couples can have a unique and thrilling adventure of swimming with gentle stingrays. It is not only marine life that can be enjoyed while scuba diving. There are also many shipwrecks that can be found in Barbuda Islands for those who are already experienced divers. Whether a person is a beginner or experienced, both snorkeling and scuba diving are activities that cannot be missed.

Go for the Cuisine

Activities that can be enjoyed on a Caribbean honeymoon are not only limited to the amazing beaches they have. At the end of the day, a couple would gladly welcome a great treat after their eventful day. Couples can help themselves with varied options that range from local cuisine to fine dining. There are world renowned chefs who are ready to whip up something spectacular to make a couple’s stay more memorable. When the sun sets, it does not mean that the fun has to end. Nightlife also plays a major role in a Caribbean honeymoon. With casinos, concerts, beach parties and pubs, couples would have a hard time calling it a night. Some of the islands that do not sleep at night include Jamaica, Puerto Rico and Curacao.

When it comes to planning an all inclusive honeymoon, the Caribbean is a great choice. It can be as active or as secluded as you want it to be with a setting that is second to none. It is beautiful and the weather is optimum in the fall and winter when you may have a lovely winter wedding with a warm and wonderful honeymoon!
